The 1.5-mile loop trail brings hikers around Round Mountain to Hale Pond, a picturesque pond teeming with wildlife. Beavers dammed Camp Brook, forming the pond and creating a rich ecosystem for other wildlife.
For those who are more adventurous, Challinor Conservation Area (https://www.bnrc.org/trails-and-maps/challinor-conservation-area/) can be accessed by bushwacking north along the old road and is open to the public for hiking, hunting, and wildlife viewing.
