The Boulders is an expansive hiking and mountain biking area in Western Massachusetts managed by Berkshire Natural Resources Council. This trailhead provides access to an extensive network of trails traversing the entirety of the park and eventually climbing up to the high point, which provides views of Pittsfield and the Berkshires. Upon leaving the parking lot on Gulf Road, visitors can follow the easy 0.5-mile Healthy Heart Loop or hop onto the 1.4-mile Green Trail. Hikers can jump onto the Red Trail at the far end of the Green Trail, adding several miles to your walk. Visitors can also gain access to the Blue Trail from the Red Trail, and climb up to the Boulders for the view.
In addition, this parking area provides access to the Appalachian Trail, which heads north to Cheshire.
